Now in its 6th year, Lechlade RiverFolk held its first acoustic evening in November '07 at The Trout Inn at Lechlade in the Creel Bar. MEETINGS We meet on the 2nd and last Friday of each month. We have 'sing-a-rounds' where anyone who wants to play or sing can do so in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The variety of music is excellent and there are always people who come along to listen and enjoy - this makes for a really vibrant and happy atmosphere. We, needless to say, are thrilled at the way it is going, and it seems that RiverFolk is meeting a need within the community. PERFORMANCE Every RiverFolk night takes the form of a sing-around, where every performer takes a turn in playing or singing. We welcome performers of all standards who would like to share their music and songs with us. We try to ensure all performers have a chance to sing or play once in each half. Duos and groups can perform two songs in each half (time and numbers of performers permitting). It would help if you could have your instrument ready, out of its case to save time when it is your turn to play. If you are performing for the first time at RiverFolk, please make yourself known to us so that we can ensure we can support you in your debut performance!
